On this day, July 21, 1896, visionary Black women from across the country gathered in Washington, D.C. to form the National Association of Colored Women’s Clubs (NACWC)—uniting for the upliftment of their communities under the motto: “Lifting as We Climb.”

Today, we honor 129 years of legacy, leadership, and love.

🌺 Thank you to our founders and every woman who has carried the torch forward. We walk proudly in your path.

Happy Juneteenth!
We’re proud to share a recap of our organization’s role in hosting the Health & Wellness Fair at the annual Juneteenth Fest!

It was a powerful reminder of our motto, “Lifting as We Climb,” as we connected our community to vital health and wellness resources. Being part of this historical celebration is both an honor and a reflection of the impact we strive to make.

A huge thank you to all of our vendors and volunteers who made this event possible with their time, expertise, and dedication. Your presence helped create a meaningful and uplifting experience for everyone who attended.

The Ladies of the ELD Club of NACWC Inc. is back hosting the Health & Wellness Fair in partnership with The YANI Collective Annual Juneteenth Fest at George Washington Carver Center!!

It’s so important to make health & wellness resources accessible to our community. Here’s what to expect this year at the fair: there will be school physicals for students, blood pressure & glucose checks, mental health services, women health resources, holistic healing & so much more!

We’re kicking things off with a morning group yoga class put on by Soulside Healing Arts & we are adding a Line Dancing tutorial class put on by the 309 Line Dancers. That’s right, if you’re THAT person who doesn’t know the Tamia dance yet, no worries we GOT you! We’re bringing it to you all in one place!!

Thank you to all the resources that will be in attendance so far, we are still accepting resource tables for this event!
