GlobalFest of Central Illinois, 🇺🇸 attended the Swiss German Springfest (Frühlingfest) in Pekin. 🇵🇫It was a tremendous success, bringing together the community for a full day of culture, food, 🌭music, 🎶 and family-friendly entertainment at the Avanti’s Event Center!

Entertainment throughout the day kept guests engaged and dancing, featuring Grammy Award nominee Eddie Korosa, 🎤 Jr. and his band, 🎺🎹followed by Terry Bredenberg on the accordion. The crowd also enjoyed a special performance by the Lindenhof Echos alphorn group, which brought a unique and authentic Alpine sound to the festival.

Festival guests especially praised the authentic German menu, which included pork schnitzel, bratwurst, frankfurters, German potato salad, sauerkraut, red cabbage, 🥬 German green beans , apfel kuchen, and Bavarian pretzels 🥨 with obatzda cheese spread. The German beer 🍺 selections at the cash bar were also a favorite among attendees.

GlobalFest of Central Illinois extends sincere thanks to the performers, vendors, volunteers, sponsors, participants, and everyone who attended and helped make the Swiss & German Springfest such a memorable celebration. The strong community turnout and enthusiastic support made the event a wonderful success, and organizers look forward to continuing this cultural tradition in the future.
