Peoria County Animal Protection Services has lots of amazing cats and kittens that are still waiting to be adopted. Adoption hours are 12-5pm Monday-Saturday.

June is National Adopt A Cat Month! These three cats keep getting overlooked at the shelter and have spent the most time waiting for a forever home🏡

Shamrock has been at Peoria County Animal Protection Services since February 18th. He is currently doing great in a foster home, but he is very excited to find his forever home! He is shy, but can't get enough pets once he's comfortable. He is around 1 year and 10 months old and would do best in a quiet home.

Cherokee has been at the shelter since March 5th. She is a gorgeous calico who is around 1 year and 3 months old. She loves getting pets and watching out the window for birds.

Francis is 3 years old and has been at the shelter since March 25th. He is a friendly and smart boy!

Hopping at you with a new Pet of the Week🐇 Mr. Fluffy was featured on the news this morning as one of Peoria County Animal Protection Services adoptable pets. He is around 4 months old and an adorable Holland Lop. His fur is unbelievably soft! Don't forget to check out the small animal room when you stop by the shelter - there are lots of amazing pets waiting to find their forever homes!

These adorable little cuties need your help💛

Come to our Kitten Shower donation drive on June 13th from 12-2pm to help ease the stress that kitten season puts on Peoria County Animal Protection Services and foster homes. Local shelters are overrun with kittens, especially this time of year. We invite everyone to come to our Kitten Shower and enjoy refreshments, cat-related activities, and play with adoptable kittens! Attendees are encouraged to bring a "shower gift" of items that are needed to care for all the kittens until they find a home.

Franklin wants everyone to know that not only is a he a professional cuddler, but he's also our Pet of the Week🐾

This adorable boy is around 3 years old and is a Labrador Retriever mix. He is a sweetheart and can't wait to find his forever home. If you're interested in meeting him, Peoria County Animal Protection Services adoption hours are 12-5 Monday through Saturday. (Shelter is closed on Memorial Day.)
