BCM partners with churches to strengthen discipleship through biblical care and counsel. BCM Men’s Residential comes alongside the local church to provide more intensive care.

Mike Hanson is the National Executive Director of Biblical Counseling Ministries. Mike founded BCM in 2015. Prior to this, he was the CEO and financial planner of The Hanson Financial Group for 27 years. Mike lives in Central Illinois with his wife Cara, and together they have 5 children.

Biblical Counseling Ministries (BCM) exists to strengthen the discipleship ministry of the church through biblical counseling. BCM serves the local church by mentoring and consulting. It is not the role to be the counselor on staff but to help build a culture of being a church of biblical counselors.

our guests- and many other church members represented in the conversation- each play a pivotal part in ministering to counselees. They share a testimony of how God worked through the local church for His own glory and for the sanctification of His children.
