The Murder of Eva Frances Grant This page is here for the purpose of remembering my Grandmother and helping to finally solve her murder. She was the Grandmother everyone wanted.

This page is dedicated to the memory of our Grandmother and our Parents Mother who was brutally murdered the morning of August 16, 1976 by someone she knew and allowed into her home. She lived in the small community of Peonia Kentucky, population under 250. She was a dear soul, never harming anyone nor did she have any enemies. At approximately 9:00 am on the morning of August 16th the milkman was making his normal routine deliveries. It was a warm sunny morning. Everyone in the community was going about their regular chores. When the milkman pulled up in front of Gandmas house, he stepped off his truck and began to walk down the sidewalk to her porch…….he notice one disturbing thing and he knew something was wrong. Her door was slightly open. This NEVER happened. She always had to get up from her chair and make her way to unlock the door for him. He knew something was wrong and as he stepped onto the porch he looked into her tiny living room and saw her sitting in her chair, upright position but brutally beaten. Scared, he jumped into his truck and drove about 1/3 of a mile to the local grocery store. The owner was Carlos Grant, the nephew of our grandmother. They called the Kentucky State Police and the Investigation began and from the point it has not stopped. There is some new information in the case that may likely solve this long standing mystery. There are persons of interest, strong interest. We look forward to finally having our Grandmothers murder solved after 38 years. We as the family are as diligent today as we were 38 years ago to have the murderer arrested and convicted of this brutal crime. The individual(s) are heartless, spineless, cowards that have no regard for human life. I have posted a $25,000.00 REWARD for the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) that murdered our Grandmother. I have a strong belief of who I personally feel committed this crime and I want them to know as they read this that I will never give up until they have paid the price for brutally murdering of our Grandmother. Connies parents notified law enforcement on 01/24/1980 that Connie did not report to work (Copyset in Leitchfield, KY); however, her vehicle was found secured in the business parking lot. Co-workers noted that, given that Connie did not report for work and that her car was backed into a space that she did not normally use, gave them concern. The day she was reported missing Jan,24 1980 was the day hers and her ex-husband’s divorce was final. A coworker of Connie's, states that Connie had told her on Jan 22, her ex husband said to Connie, “if I can't have you, no one will.”
