• History Cruises on "Lake Sturgeon," our 1968 Navy launch (pictured), or
• Sailing charters on our two largest sailboats:
○ Wave Dancer, a Sabre 36 (pictured sailing)
○ Pied Piper, a Morgan MK II 42 (pictured at
dock)
• Sailing classes (free to Veterans)
○ Wind Whisper, an O'Day 24
○ Da Doo Run Run, a Catalina 22
○ Nite Hawk, an Ensign 21
• Rent a sailboat (for qualified sailors)
○ Rocking Horse, an Erikson 32

WMSAIL is the only US Sailing Accredited Sailing School in Michigan, and one of 44 in the United States.

West Michigan S.A.I.L. (Service members. Adapting. Interacting. Living.) provides a unique path to healing for Veterans through the power of wind, water, and building camaraderie. Our programs help veterans rediscover purpose, resilience, and connection while preserving the Great Lakes maritime heritage.

Today, we have an incredible opportunity to acquire the Schooner Appledore V, a majestic vessel that could serve as the flagship of our veterans’ sailing program. However, to make this vision a reality, we need your support.

The Schooner Appledore V comes with a price tag of $220,000, and we are committed to bringing her home to Pentwater, Michigan, a town where up to 22 schooners graced the harbor daily until the 1940s.
