This is so exciting! Our student group had a peanut butter drive at school and donated 35 jars! Let’s gooo!

👏 Congratulations are in order for Escambia Extension, who ranked in first place throughout the state for total number of jars collected in the annual Peanut Butter Challenge! A total of 4,214 jars were collected from donations throughout Escambia County.

The 2025 Peanut Butter Challenge collected a total of 44,564 pounds of peanut butter statewide, exceeding last year’s total by about 5,000 pounds. Since 2020, participants have donated 212,860 pounds statewide.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Peanut Butter Challenge! Your donation benefitted more than just a friendly competition between Florida counties -- donations were collected to support local food pantries, helping fight hunger in our community.

CAFM Friends of the Poor is hosting a peanut butter drive through Nov. 24th. Thank you to those who’ve brought in a jar of peanut butter so far. We currently have 8 jars! The Escambia Extension will match 1:1 whatever we collect. 🥜

Please drop off or send us peanut butter donations. If you don’t live near the school, you can also send to us through your favorite online grocer like Walmart, Sam’s, or Amazon. DM for details.
