A Tribute to Gloria Steinem and the Women Who Changed America
Gloria Steinem spent her life helping women recognize that their voices, choices and dreams belonged to them.
She did not work alone—and she never pretended that she did. She stood beside women of different races, backgrounds and generations who organized, challenged one another and kept moving forward, even when change came painfully slowly.
This song honors Gloria, but it also honors every woman who signed her name when silence felt safer…every woman who entered a room where she was not welcomed…every woman who opened a door and held it open for those coming behind her.
Some people spend their lives asking for a seat at the table.
Gloria Steinem helped change the table itself.
May we honor her life by protecting the ground women have gained—and by continuing the work until every woman has a place, a voice and the freedom to become all she was created to be.
