THANK YOU FOR AN INCREDIBLE SALT RETREAT 2026!
As we reflect on an unforgettable weekend, our hearts are filled with gratitude. Thank you to every parent, chaperone, supporter, and donor who helped make the SALT Retreat 2026 a tremendous success.
This year's theme, "Becoming HER: Prepared. Positioned. Powerful.", was more than just a theme, it was a transformative experience. Throughout the retreat, our girls were challenged to grow, inspired to dream bigger, and empowered to embrace the amazing young women they are becoming.
From the excitement of boarding an airplane for the very first time for many of our girls, to sharing laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories, this retreat provided experiences that will last a lifetime. We enjoyed delicious catered breakfasts and lunches provided by my dear friend, Dameon Brown , owner of Spice House Catering, whose generosity and culinary excellence helped make each day special.
Our girls were introduced to the beauty of the creative arts through the breathtaking "Drawn to Life" by Cirque du Soleil, where imagination, storytelling, and artistry came to life before their eyes. They strengthened their communication, leadership, and teamwork skills while competing against one another at The Great Big Game Show, where friendly competition and collaboration created moments of joy, confidence, and connection. They also enjoyed leisure time shopping at the mall, building friendships and creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.
The climax of the retreat was our unforgettable Red Carpet Experience. Dressed beautifully and walking with confidence, each young lady had the opportunity to shine, celebrate her growth, and embrace the powerful young woman she is becoming. As they stepped onto the red carpet, they were reminded that they are worthy, capable, and destined for greatness. It was more than a photo opportunity, it was a moment of affirmation, empowerment, and reflection on everything they had learned throughout the weekend. Watching them walk with their heads held high and confidence radiating from within was a powerful representation of our theme: Becoming HER: Prepared. Positioned. Powerful.
To our mentees, thank you for showing up with open hearts, positive attitudes, and a willingness to learn. Watching your confidence grow, your voices strengthen, and your sisterhood deepen was a beautiful reminder of why this work matters.
To our chaperones, thank you for your time, wisdom, patience, and unwavering commitment. Your investment in the lives of these young ladies leaves a lasting impact that extends far beyond this retreat.
To our parents and guardians, thank you for trusting SALT with your daughters. Your support allows us to continue creating safe spaces where girls can learn, lead, and thrive.
To our donors, thank you for believing in our mission. Your generosity made it possible for our girls to experience opportunities that will inspire them for years to come.
As we return home, we do so with renewed purpose, stronger connections, and a deeper understanding that our girls are not waiting to become leaders someday because they are leaders NOW! They are becoming HER: Prepared for her future, Positioned for her purpose, and Powerful beyond measure.
Again, thank you for helping us make SALT Retreat 2026 a life-changing experience. The memories were made, the lessons were learned, the bonds were strengthened, and the seeds of greatness were planted.
