Escambia Search and Rescue

Escambia Search and Rescue ESAR was established in 1961 as an all-volunteer organization dedicated to assisting our community in times of need.

ESAR responds to numerous circumstances, including lost children, missing hunters, drowning victims, overdue boats, and natural disasters. Escambia Search and Rescue is made of multiple specialized commands in order to be able to respond to a variety of mission in our area. We currently have multiple boats to respond in both the coastal areas as well as the many rivers in our area, to supplement t

his we also have divers who are trained in various forms of underwater search, rescue, and recovery methods. In addition to our marine assets we also have team members who are trained in multiple aspects of land based searches including tracking, and unmanned aircraft (drones) to assist in our mission.
