Water is our most important resource. Over irrigation and traditional stormwater infrastructure prevents the recharge of our aquifers. Communities should plan for protecting the future of their resources before they end up in a situation like this.

The Supreme Court on Monday heard a dispute between Mississippi and Tennessee over water rights. Mississippi says Tennessee is wrongfully withdrawing water from an aquifer that crosses the border between the states and goes beneath Mississippi.

Happy 50th Earth Day! There is absolutely no doubt that the environment is dominated by global anthropogenic elements. Each of us has a responsibility to reduce our carbon footprint, including trash and plastic pollution. Now is the time to reflect on how we can make individual changes so that collectively our planet can be healthier.

You're right if you think the news is grim overall, but along the way, there have been significant wins for the planet. The post Earth Month Turns 50: How Much Has Changed? appeared first on Reader's Digest.

Please join us in fighting for the heart of the Clean Water Act by asking your Governor to tell EPA your state opposes the new regulation that would that would remove Clean Water Act protections from its rivers, streams, wetlands, and lakes.
