Krewe of Chanteuse

Krewe of Chanteuse 2003 - 2015: The Krewe had a 30' float and through fund-raisers, membership fees and donations have successful participated in more Pensacola Parades!

Krewe of Chanteuse was founded in February 2003 to participate in Pensacola's Parade fun, gather food for the Manna Food Bank and volunteer with community needs. The Patrons and the owner, Mr. Jaga, of Sam’s Lounge, have given much support for the Krewe Of Chanteuse. There are now over 50 members listed with the hopes of continuing to grow and bring more smiles to the community. During the Thanksg

iving and Christmas Holidays the Krewe Of Chanteuse collected food and distributed it to people who were in need of help. Some members even braved the trip to Mississippi right after Hurricane Katrina destroyed the coast. They delivered the much needed supplies that were donated to the club.

2015 - 2024: Krewe of Chanteuse teamed up with the Veterans of Foreign Wars, VFW Post 706 and Auxiliary to participate in Pensacola's Parade fun. History
Originated in 2003. There were only 26 days to get a group together and a float to be a part of the Mardi Gras Parade. Since then, some members have come and gone, but the Krewe of Chanteuse celebrates 20 years participating in the Parades. In 2015, we partnered with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 706 to help get Veterans involved in local Parades and bring awareness to the communities of the Veterans and Active Military services the Post has to offer. The Krewe of Chanteuse is proud to have assisted Post 706 build a Float and they have now formed their own Krewe. It is that time again for the Krewe of Chanteuse to move forward as we move into the 2025 Mardi Gras season. About Krewe
The Krewe’s Mission is to attend every Parade Pensacola has to offer. They have collected non perishable food items through the years for the Manna Food Bank. Membership
Membership is open before each Parade in order to accommodate new participants. Throws are required to participate in all parades, except the Veterans Day Parade. We are looking forward to Mardi Gras 2025.

Too much to do, too little money to do it with, too little time to do it, too few people willing to work together. Maybe we can get it together next season. Enjoy this Mardi Gras Season 2025. 😎

Our Story

The above picture above was our 1st float which we built on a borrowed trailer. Our 2nd float had seen many Parades and was kept outside. It was decorated different for every Parade. We had to scrap it and now we have started over again, just like before with no float and not a penny in our pocket. What we “do have” is a great group of people who now have years of experience preparing for a Parade and still LOVE doing it!

2018, Captain Chicken purchased a trailer and some supplies to make our new float! Everyone pitched in to get it put together.

We are well on our way to Mardi Gras 2020! We post the meeting times on this page. If you are interesting in being a part of the fun, plan to attend a meeting.

$25 participation fee, so if you plan to go, you’d better get your money turned in. It’s going to be a Great Mardi Gras Parade Downtown Pensacola !!!
