🇺🇸 STATE AND LOCAL LEADERS WORKING TOGETHER FOR HURRICANE ISAIAS RECOVERY!
Florida Lieutenant Governor Jay Collins met with leaders in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties to discuss the immediate disaster relief needs and long-term recovery efforts following the devastating impact of Hurricane Isaias.
Dr. Nick Jackson, CEO of BRACE, had the opportunity to help coordinate these meetings and provide updates on the extensive damage sustained throughout our communities.
During the discussions, Dr. Jackson highlighted the significant needs facing residents, the ongoing coordination of hundreds of volunteers and disaster relief partners assisting with fallen trees, damaged roofs, and debris removal, and the critical importance of establishing a coordinated, long-term recovery strategy to help families rebuild.
Representative Michelle Salzman, members of Senator Don Gaetz’s office, and members of U.S. Senator Rick Scott’s office also connected with BRACE during the meetings to offer their support and discuss the needs of our impacted communities.
As the lead organization for volunteer and donations coordination and Long-Term Recovery Groups in both counties, BRACE continues working closely with the State of Florida, Escambia and Santa Rosa County governments, and numerous local, state, and national partners to bring much-needed assistance to our residents as quickly and efficiently as possible.
While the immediate response remains a priority, we recognize that recovery will not happen overnight. Many families are facing significant challenges, and BRACE is committed to helping coordinate the resources, partnerships, and support necessary to see our communities through the long road to recovery.
We are grateful for the attention, collaboration, and support of our state and federal leaders, local officials, and the countless organizations and volunteers who have stepped forward to serve.
Recovery takes all of us. Together, we will recover, rebuild, and emerge stronger!
