We hope you and your loved ones are safe following the storm!

We’re grateful to share that all is well at Bright Bridge Ministries. Thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and continued support. 🙏

As our community recovers, we will remain CLOSED to outside community guests and volunteers until Tuesday lunch, unless otherwise notified.

What a day to celebrate new beginnings 🎉

50 hours of hard work, new skills, and a Fresh Start full of possibilities. 👨‍🍳

Congratulations to the newest graduates of our Fresh Start Culinary Program! We loved celebrating with such a wonderful turnout of family, friends, and community supporters last night. 🩵🧡💙

A special thank you to Native Cafe for sponsoring this class and to our chefs for sharing their time, talents, and hearts as they taught and encouraged our graduates.

To everyone who came out to sample and celebrate, thank you for being part of their Fresh Start. 💛

Our graduates leave with more than culinary skills and SafeStaff certificates. They’re stepping into new opportunities and brighter futures. ✨

Hurricane Update from Bright Bridge Ministries 🩵🧡💙

As we prepare for the storm, the safety of our neighbors, residents, volunteers and staff comes first.

Thursday, October 8: OPEN for normal operations, including our Fresh Start Culinary Graduation at 4 PM. Come celebrate with us! 🎓

Friday, October 9: CLOSED to community guests and regular services. Our residential shelter will remain open, with care for residents continuing uninterrupted.

Today, we’re helping community guests prepare by sharing food resource information and referrals to Waterfront Rescue Mission for shelter.

Please, help us spread the word, so everyone has time to make safe arrangements.

We’re grateful for our team, volunteers and community partners who care for our neighbors every day.

Stay safe, look out for one another, and join us in praying for everyone in the storm’s path. 🙏

When severe weather comes, our first priority is keeping people safe. 🩵🧡💙

Bright Bridge Ministries is prepared. Our residents will continue to receive shelter, meals and support, and our food ministry will operate as normal Thursday and Friday. Staff will also be onsite through the weekend.

If you know someone who is unhoused and needs shelter or support during the severe weather, please contact Opening Doors Northwest Florida at 850-439-3009. They can help connect people with available resources and transportation to emergency shelter when needed.

Please keep our residents, staff, neighbors and everyone in the storm’s path in your prayers.

50 hours of hard work. New skills. A Fresh Start worth celebrating. 🎊

Join us this Thursday at 4:00 PM at Bright Bridge Ministries as we celebrate the newest graduates of our Fresh Start Culinary Program 🧑🏼‍🍳

Over the past month, our graduates have completed 50 hours of hands-on vocational culinary training in cooking, baking, smoking, grilling and knife skills, while earning their SafeStaff food handling certificates.

Now, they’re ready to put those skills to work in new jobs, new roles and new opportunities for higher pay in the hospitality industry.

Community members, local restaurateurs, friends of Bright Bridge, and family and friends of our graduates are all invited to come celebrate with us.🩵🧡💙

Tours of Bright Bridge, including our newly expanded shelter wing, will also be available, along with opportunities to support our mission.

Sometimes, the best way to celebrate where someone is today is to remember how far they’ve come. 💛

Our Kitchen Director, Stanley Donaway, recently shared his story with WKRG News 5, and it’s one worth hearing.

Years ago, Stanley walked through the doors of the church that would become Bright Bridge Ministries hungry, struggling with addiction and needing help.

Today, he helps feed and encourage people walking through those same doors.

Stanley is sober, a homeowner, a husband and doing what he calls his “dream job” right here at Bright Bridge.

And now, he gets to look someone who is struggling in the eye and say, “I’ve been there.”

That is hope.

Stanley, we celebrate your story and the way you now use your journey to help others find their own path forward. 🩵🧡💙

Today, we’re celebrating the simple ways we can make a big difference. 💛

Sometimes caring for our neighbors looks like something as simple as a $1 pair of flip flops.

Right now, His Place Shelter is completely out of shower shoes for the men we serve, and we’d love your help filling the shelves again.

The need is men’s sizes 9–14, and the Dollar General $1 flip-flop pairs work great.

This is one of the things we love about our community. When there’s a need, you show up.

If you’re out shopping today, would you grab a pair or two for our neighbors at His Place Shelter?

Leadership looks a lot like service. 💛

At Bright Bridge Ministries, we believe every person matters. That belief is at the heart of our work and the way our Executive Director, Rev. Ashlee Mosley Brown, leads.

Being named the 2026 Best of the Bay Best Public Community Servant is a beautiful reflection of the way Ashlee shows up for others every day.

But this work takes all of us.

Every volunteer. Every donor. Every meal served. Every gift given. Every person who chooses to see and value our neighbors helps make this mission possible.
