Featured presenter Billy Hattaway has spent over 40 years helping communities across Florida become more walkable and bikeable. His experience in transportation planning and safety makes this a conversation you won’t want to miss.

The Florida Suntrail Pensacola Downtown Waterfront Connector is being designed to create a safer, more connected experience for walking and cycling between neighborhoods, downtown, parks, and local businesses.�

The 2025 Last Mile Sunset 5K was another inspiring success, honoring the memory of Brien Pursell while rallying the Pensacola community around safer streets and youth programs.

Thanks to the record-breaking participation, sponsorships, and support, the event raised funds that enabled a $15,000 distribution to impactful local projects.

Local projects include Bike Pensacola, previously supporting their Fall Slow Ride and Kids Safety Rodeo, as well as plans for a groundbreaking 2026 community forum on walkable and bikeable Pensacola with an out-of-town expert speaker.

The YMCA of Northwest Florida will utilize funds to enhance safety and security at the Betty J. Pullum Family YMCA youth programs building, including advanced locking systems and emergency access points to protect hundreds of kids in afterschool, camp, and development programs for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who ran, walked, volunteered, or supported this meaningful event—together, we’re building a safer, stronger community! 🌅🏃‍♂️💚💙

9 years ago today Brien went home to Jesus. We miss him every single day but we also see the impact he made, every single day. Life is all about the impact you can make on others and the world and we are all grateful on the impact he made on us.
