The 2026 Scholarship was presented to Graduating Senior Josie McKenzie by Dee Morris Calloway at the Fairhope High Awards night. Josie was presented with a certificate and a $1,000 scholarship check!

We are thrilled to announce the 8th recipient of the Hardy E. Calloway Memorial Scholarship!

Please help us congratulate our 2026 award recipient, Josie McKenzie!

Josie plans to attend Samford University and pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Business with
a concentration in Sports Marketing and a minor in graphic design.

She will receive a certificate along with a check for $1,000 presented at the Fairhope High awards night.

Josie’s application and heartfelt essays shared her perspective on teamwork and honoring our veterans that showcased her care for others.

The scholarship committee aimed to assist a graduating senior who demonstrated the characteristics of Hardy E. Calloway and could utilize the financial assistance to facilitate a successful transition to college.

Thank each one of you who have given financially towards this scholarship to make this possible to continue remembering and honoring the life and service of Hardy E. Calloway.
