S*x trafficking happens here in the U.S. and it is not hard to find.

A 14 year-old girl is sold to a dozen men a day for s*x inside of a trailer that is within miles of a prestigious college in South Carolina.

This is s*x trafficking.

A boy is exploited on the streets of Houston by men looking for s*x. The boy has no other way to provide for himself and his little brother since his parents deserted them.

This is s*x trafficking.

A woman sells her body on some street in America as her pimp watches from a distance.

This is s*x trafficking.

S*x trafficking can take many different forms. The immediate image that often comes to mind is of a person being kidnapped, drugged, and forced into prostitution in some country that is hard to pronounce. However, according to the federal definition of s*x trafficking, it can be and is found in most parts of the United States, from big cities to rural communities. S*x trafficking is the exploitation of a person through force, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of commercial s*x.

Exploitation is the act of treating someone unfairly in order to benefit from their work. Human traffickers are essentially modern day slave owners and usually stop at nothing to exploit another person. They know that if they can control a person to do work and unfairly steal their earnings, they will become rich. As the definition describes, traffickers use force, fraud, and coercion to convince and control people.

WARNING: THIS WILL MAKE YOU ANGRY
"An Abilene woman was arrested Friday for allegedly accepting money from men to have s*x with her daughter, according to a court document.

Ashley Dale Franklin was arrested on a second-degree felony charge of trafficking person and taken to Taylor County Jail. Her bond was set at $150,000, according to jail records.

The Abilene Police Department began an investigation after being contacted by federal authorities regarding a child po*******hy case, the document said, with the victim making an outcry of abuse.

When the victim lived with her mother for about three years starting about Jan. 1, 2015, men would have multiple s*xual acts with the child, the document said. The victim did not know the names of the men.

During the s*xual assaults, the mother "would be present and supervise," the document said.

The men would pay the victim's mother, who used the money to buy drugs, the document said.

The victim was assaulted about every other day for a period of more than 30 days.

Investigators also interviewed two younger children under Franklin's care at that time. They corroborated the victim's statements about drug use and multiple men in the house, the document said." Abilene Reporter News

WOMAN ACCUSED OF TRAFFICKING IMMIGRANT WOMEN
Hundreds of women may have fallen prey to an alleged New York s*x trafficker — who lured some victims through bogus online ads for waitressing gigs — in a sprawling operation that dates back a decade, federal investigators said Tuesday.

The accused madam, Ysenni Gomez, allegedly targeted newly arrived Spanish-speaking immigrants to ensnare in forced prostitution in Westchester County and the Bronx.

After an initial bogus interview, the woman showed up to the restaurant, but was told by Gomez to get into a car, prosecutors allege.

The accused s*x trafficker then told the woman she would be working as a pr******te, not as a waitress — and threatened to call immigration authorities if she didn’t comply.

Gomez, 39, was charged in the Southern District of New York earlier this month with s*x trafficking by means of force and a related interstate commerce crime in connection to one alleged victim, an undocumented Venezuelan woman, according to a criminal complaint against her.

Authorities are seeking other potential victims — with the FBI saying Tuesday that “hundreds” of women of unknown ages may have been trafficked by the alleged ringleader.

“We believe there are likely many more victims,” FBI Supervisory Special Agent Brendan Kelley told The Post, adding, “This operation could have been going on for as many as 10 years.” NEW YORK POST
