AG (Assistant Governor) visit: AG Bob Stovall (2nd from right) and Rotarian spouse Rosanne Gain from the Canon City Rotary Club visited the Florence Colorado Rotary Club today (2/26/26). This fun club meets at Two Sisters Restaurant and does lots of neat projects in their community (Florence/Penrose).

Operation Pothole: Activated

We listened- and we heard you. Potholes are a big deal. They impact safety, damage vehicles, and make daily travel frustrating. That's why the City has launched Operational Pothole,

How it Works
In our city, 3,800 sets of eyes are better than 41. If you see a pothole while you're out and about:

1. Snap a photo

2. Upload it using the Operation Pothole link

Your report goes directly to City leadership...

What Happens Next
Each report is reviewed and categorized:

Immediate- Potholes that present a safety concern
Batch- Potholes that can safely wait and be repaired efficiently with others
Immediate repairs are typically temporary and more costly due to limited asphalt availability. Batch repairs are completed using larger asphalt loads, making them more cost-effective and longer lasting.

What You Can Expect
A response within 24 business hours
Confirmation of the pothole category
An estimated repair timeframe

Operation Pothole is new program, and like any new initiative, there may be a few bumps along the way (pun fully intended). We appreciate your patience as we refine the process and make improvements.

"...small, but mighty club!" ❤️

October 30: The Florence Rotary Club has been around about 12 years but they already have traditions. They partner with the Canon City Rotary Club to make the Duck Race a success, they support a program called "Senior Fun Fest" where they have a party after the high school seniors practice their graduation walk-through and they provide food baskets over the holidays. They have a small, but mighty club!
