Did someone say Fore?⛳️ Oh yes,but not quite yet on the Golf Course! It's our 4th Annual Team Lenny's Light Scramble to Defeat ALS on Friday,June 19th,2026! Over the past three years with your help,Team Lenny's Light has raised over $50,000 to benefit local individuals and families affected by ALS.

One of Lenny's many passions was accessible, affordable,and responsible Caregiving which is a challenge most individuals with ALS face. Lenny was blessed with some of the BEST around over his 5 Year fight with ALS. This motivated him to bring his Dream of a Charity Golf to fruition. Registration for the 4th Annual Scramble to Defeat ALS on Friday, June 19 is now open!
We're happy to report that we are once again partnering with Butter Valley Golf Course to host this great event.
With your help we were able to raise over $23,000 last year and we are hoping to do even better this year.
We plan to share some of the stories about how much this has helped at the outing in June.

Huge News for ALS in Pennsylvania!!

We have big news! After months of negotiations, the Pennsylvania state budget has been passed and signed into law by Governor Josh Shapiro.

The 2025-26 budget continues funding for ALS care services and, for the first time ever, allocates $5 million for neurodegenerative disease research. This historic milestone was made possible because of your advocacy.

At the ALS Mid-Atlantic Annual Celebration, State Representatives Bryan Cutler and Kyle Mullins announced this funding and thanked advocates for sharing their stories to make a real impact.

It was a beautiful day for the 2025 ALS Walk to Remember Lenny and to work to knock out ALS. Team Lenny's Light raised more than $4500 for the fight. We love you, Lenny! ❤️

  Team Lenny's Light was established in 2021 by the Youth Outreach of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Pennsburg, PA in order to honor our friend and church member Lenny Rafalko.

Saturday September 27th is only one month away!
Now is the time to register for the 2025 ALS Walk at Cedar Crest College as Team Lenny's Light walks for the 5th year in a row.
We remember Lenny - our friend, mentor, and inspiration, as we strive to once again be the top fund raising team.
Once again we will gather at the church in Pennsburg or at the college to enjoy pre-walk activities that begin at 9am. We will walk the beautiful campus, watch the awards, and then head back to St Mark's Lutheran Church for a celebration luncheon.
ALS United Mid-Atlantic provides a free t-shirt to any walker who raises $100 by September 11th. (These are in addition to the Team Lenny's Light shirt.)
