Parenting 101

Reminders for wellness

1. Self care, take walks at least once to twice a week

2. Prayer works

3. Seek support when you need it , ask other parents, school, community church, or a teacher for guidance. Ask a grandpa or grandma for advice

4. Give chores to children to help you , as small as wash dishes on Tuesday, throw trash out , sweep or mop, family project let's clean grandparents house

5. Visit the library and ask for local resources of what you need

7. Daily healthy routines , plenty of water, veggies, fruits, stretch, jumping jacks, light weights , walking

8. Take time to relax with children, board game, cards, a family movie, visit grandparents

9. Grandparents are special in the lives of our children including them often helps children understand the importance of respecting the elderly.

7 Tips to prevent Violence & Crime

1. Beware of your self care- your responses vs reaction , it is better to be slow to respond instead of reacting think of the best way to respond to avoid a dispute or walk away but watch and pray

2. You have all the rights to freedom of speech and religion but you don't always have to proof a point. Let it Go and move forward to keep the Peace

3. If you need a job ask, seek temporary agencies, go to a social service agency for employment update your resume, if in school choose your friends wisely , if you feel stuck in a matter ask for help

4. If you need clarity guidance ask for help from a support that you cAn rely on police officer, pastor, teacher , a trustful mature adult, an elderly

5. Communicate with respect treat others as you would like to be treated

6. Don't panic pray , ask for help

7. Engage in positive activities , stay away from negative environments , go to a library, a family members home that's peaceful, visit a good family member, take a nature walk, ride bike read a book,
Play a sport, clean your garage or your room, visit a church, join a Bible study group, engage in a good support group
