Hoy queremos dedicar un reconocimiento profundamente especial a Chifundo, pasante en Urban Promise USA, quien nos acompañó y apoyó como voluntario durante el reciente Ella Inc Workshop.

Su participación fue mucho más allá de un voluntariado tradicional; fue un entrenamiento estratégico y clave para un propósito gigante. Chifundo se estuvo capacitando a fondo para presentar e implementar el programa de Ella Inc en Malawi, a través de la fundación Young & Empowered Malawi.

Este hermoso puente internacional es posible gracias a la increíble visión de nuestra Board Director, Lucy Nkwinika-Thomas, quien es co-fundadora de dicha fundación y una pieza fundamental en nuestra misión de expandir las oportunidades de liderazgo juvenil en todo el mundo.

Ella Inc's impact knows no borders!

Today, we want to give a very special shoutout to Chifundo, an intern at Urban Promise USA, who supported us as a volunteer during our recent Ella Inc Workshop.

His time with us went far beyond traditional volunteering—it was a strategic training ground for a massive mission! Chifundo has been preparing to present and launch the Ella Inc program in Malawi through the Young & Empowered Malawi foundation.

This incredible international bridge is all thanks to the vision of our Board Director, Lucy Nkwinika-Thomas, who co-founded the foundation and remains a driving force in our mission to expand youth leadership opportunities worldwide.

Chifundo, thank you for your dedication, your energy, and for being the spark that will bring this wave of innovation, social entrepreneurship, and female empowerment to the African continent.

Tras un fin de semana lleno de innovación e inspiración en el Ella, Inc. Workshop, nos enorgullece celebrar a las ganadoras de nuestra competencia final de Presentaciones de Impacto Social.

🥇 Primer lugar: Ariana Sesay
Estudiante de Camden High School y participante de Women of the Dream. Su visión y liderazgo destacaron durante toda la competencia. Gracias a Leslie Morris y a Women of the Dream por impulsar el potencial de jóvenes líderes como Ariana.

🥈Segundo lugar: Elanni Montalvo

After a weekend filled with innovation and inspiration at the Ella, Inc. Workshop, we are proud to celebrate the winners of our final Social Impact Pitch Competition.

🥇 1st Place: Ariana Sesay
A student at Camden High School and a member of Women of the Dream, Ariana impressed us with her vision and leadership. Special thanks to Leslie Morris and Women of the Dream for empowering young leaders like Ariana.

🥈 2nd Place: Elanni Montalvo
A student at UrbanPromise Academy, Elanni stood out for her determination, focus, and outstanding social impact presentation. Special recognition to Nina Blair for her incredible mentorship.

🌍 Both finalists earned a full scholarship to the prestigious Ella, Inc. Camp, where they will continue developing their projects and expanding their horizons.

Vivimos una jornada inolvidable llena de talento, innovación y liderazgo joven. Estos fueron los momentos clave que marcaron el final de esta gran edición:
🏛️ Visita de honor: Tuvimos el gran privilegio de recibir al presidente de Asian Bank, quien nos acompañó para respaldar el talento de nuestra comunidad.
👗 "Dress for Success": Una conferencia transformadora donde las participantes aprendieron claves de proyección estratégica, confianza e imagen profesional.
⚖️ Jurado de alto nivel: La gran final estuvo a cargo de jueces panelistas, líderes representantes de las empresas más importantes e influyentes de la región.
🎩 Magia en el escenario: Para mantener a la audiencia totalmente interesada durante la deliberación del jurado, Frank Kennedy (mago y gran amigo de Juan Casimiro) nos regaló un show espectacular lleno de risas e ilusionismo.

We experienced an unforgettable journey filled with talent, innovation, and youth leadership. Here are the key highlights that marked the grand finale of this incredible edition:
🏛️ Guest of Honor: We had the distinct privilege of welcoming the President of Asian Bank, who joined us to support the rising talent within our community.
👗 "Dress for Success": A transformational conference where participants learned the keys to strategic projection, confidence, and professional image.
⚖️ Top-Tier Judging Panel: The grand finale pitching session was evaluated by our guest judges, who are leading representatives from the most important and influential companies in our region.

Tonight was our Orientation Session at Ella’s workshop, we want to send a huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and have supported us to make this possible, your incredible energy, enthusiasm, and presence made tonight an absolute success!

Something powerful is happening in Camden, NJ — and it starts TOMORROW. 🌟

The Ella Inc. Workshop isn't just a program. It's an engine for overnight transformation.

Tomorrow, Friday May 29 at 5:00 PM, 25–30 young women ages 15–19 walk through the doors of HopeWorks and begin a 2.5-day journey that will change the way they see themselves — and the world. Saturday is a full day of hands-on learning: building leadership mindsets, designing social impact ideas, and discovering the innovator they've always had inside. And on Sunday? They pitch. Two panels of judges. Real stakes. Real scholarships.

This is where girls become leaders. Where ideas become projects. Where communities begin to change — because one young woman decided she was ready.
