At the Hopewell Valley YMCA, we believe that strong communities are built by passionate individuals coming together for a common cause. As we look forward to a season of exciting events, we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers like you to help us make a lasting impact!
We have two wonderful opportunities coming up and would love for you to join our team:
1. Pennington 5K
Date: Saturday, May 16, 2026 Help us cheer on runners, manage water stations, and ensure a smooth race day for our local athletes. It’s a high-energy morning filled with community spirit!
2. Safety Town
Dates: June 19 – June 26, 2026 Safety Town is a beloved program that teaches our youngest community members vital safety skills in a fun, interactive environment. We need mentors to help guide these little learners through their daily activities.
Who Can Volunteer? These opportunities are open to anyone aged 14 and older. Whether you are a student looking for community service hours or a neighbor wanting to give back, your time and energy are invaluable to us.
Why Volunteer?
• Support local youth and community health programs.
• Gain leadership experience and earn community service hours.
• Connect with fellow community members in a fun, professional environment.

Lace up your sneakers and be part of a beloved community tradition! The 48th Annual Pennington 5K is back—along with our 1-Mile Kids Fun Run—and we’d love to see YOU at the starting line.
Whether you're racing for a personal best, jogging with friends, or cheering on your little runners, this event is all about fun, fitness, and community spirit
And the fun doesn’t stop at the finish line…
