Thanks to everyone who prayed for the Chapa family and for each step of our build. If you helped with the prebuilds or helped on the away team or donated money or furniture or drove a flatbed or helped in some other way. You helped to make a difference in the lives of a young family with young children. To give them a better life and a clean, new, secure home where they don’t have to worry about leaks or cooking or bathing or sleeping or heat or cold or electricity. Thank you for showing them the generosity of Christ!

Day 2 was a much better weather day!
We were able to get the roof dried in. We start shingles tomorrow. Flooring and insulation are 90% done, electric is 90% roughed in, roughed in plumbing has begun, front and back porches are attached and the outside walls of the house is painted! So much going on all at once! Thank you Lord for this opportunity to serve!

Day1: Hot and dry and blessed! We were able to trench and set lines for electric, water and septic.
We got the floor leveled and decked. Some walls are up
Both sets of stairs are built
Front and back deck structure and deck roofs are constructed and ready
to attach. The gable pieces are cut and painted
All the 2x6s and 1x4s are painted. Lots of other preparatory projects completed.

Thank you to First Methodist Church Seguin for hosting our 3rd Prebuild and for its generous cook team! Today we put together all the pieces to make the outside walls for the house including Tyvex, Zbar flashing, siding and cutting out the windows and doors. Then we loaded the walls and trusses to take down to the Valley. Thanks to Burl Smith for lending us his flatbed trailer, Stephan Smith for driving it and to all who came to build today!!! The final build is almost here!!!

What a great turnout in Dripping Springs for our 2nd prebuild for the Chapa family home! Many thanks for all who braved the cold and for Dripping Springs Methodist Church for hosting!!!

Prebuild #1 is complete! Thanks to Gruene UMC for hosting us as we painted walls, made trusses and made pieces to construct walls at a future prebuild! Well done to all who helped make this a reality!
