We are collecting these much-needed food items through Labor Day. Drop off at St. Joseph’s Church any time or at Penfield Hope Mondays 3-6, Tuesdays 5-7, Thursday 10-1. Pasta and sauce, canned tuna and salmon, ketchup and mustard, oatmeal, pancake mix and syrup, coffee, cereal and Pop-Tarts. Thank you for supporting our neighbors! 💙🩵💙

Started our backpack and school snack distribution today, assisted by Phil, Penfield Wegmans front end manager. So grateful for all of the St. Joseph’s community donations of backpacks and school supplies, Wegmans food and bag donations, and the commitment of our amazing volunteers! 💙🎒🩵📚💙

As we get ready to distribute backpacks and snack bags this week, we were joined tonight by the Penfield Wegmans store manager, Wendy, and intern, Melania, who volunteered to pack 100 snack bags! Wegmans donated the bags and much of the contents—applesauce, granola bars, Pop-Tarts. Thank you, Wegmans! Grateful to have some amazing community partners! 🩵🎒💙🎒🩵

Thanks to our amazing Penfield Hope volunteers, this week we again received Foodlink’s highest rating for compliance with food safety protocols and procedures. We are proud of our client-choice food pantry and welcome donations of non-perishable food all summer. Currently we are in need of tuna, pasta, oatmeal, coffee, cereal, ketchup, Pop-Tarts, and reusable bags! Food can be dropped off at St Joseph’s Church west entrance or when Penfield Hope is open, at 1771 Penfield Road, Mondays 3-6, Tuesdays 5-7, and Thursdays 10-1. Foodlink 💙🩵💙

Penfield Hope was delighted to welcome Penfield Wegmans Work Scholarship students this past weekend to talk about how Wegmans and Penfield Hope are partnering to make a difference in our community. Thanks to Penfield Wegmans store management for organizing and to Jody DeBell and Ralph Fernaays who joined Duncan Harris in presenting on the Penfield Hope and Phillip the Van mission to share the abundance of Penfield with those in need. Thanks to the staff from Home Depot in Penfield, in the wee hours of this hazy, smoky Thursday morning, the windows were washed, tree limbs cut, and shrubs trimmed at 1771 Penfield Road. We are grateful for the support and beautiful results! homedepot
