Scouts from Troops 2 and 9 joined with various Clearfield County Law Enforcement and County officials this morning as part of the Light to Unite events happening throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in recognition of America's 250th Anniversary. This joint effort between each of the Scouting America Councils within Pennsylvania and the Sheriff's Association of Pennsylvania is a statewide moment of unity, where Scouts and Sheriff’s Deputies stand together to honor our nation and celebrate community. In addition to the ceremonies, the celebration emphasized Scouting’s long-standing commitment to character development, leadership, and community involvement, reflecting the values that have guided young Americans for generations.

As requested by the Bucktail Council Executive Board, the Fireside Chat with Laurel Highlands Council Leadership scheduled for Wednesday will be delayed by exactly one week. The new date and time is: Wednesday, May 6, at 6:30 pm. This will still be held in Saint Marys. As soon as we are able to confirm the location later this week, a follow-up email will be sent out as quickly as possible.
