The start of a new school year and first book distribution for this new class of 3rd graders. We love their excitement and the off-the-wall questions they have for us 😂. Sometimes it’s the seemingly little things that bring such joy.

June 3rd is a day that marks our calendars as the day that Ms. Bennett as she was known by her students and Jordan to her family and friends, left us for Heaven 3 years ago. Today was also the last day of school at McNary Heights, so we decided the best way to honor Jordan was spending the day with all the 3rd graders handing out books. Seeing their excitement and hearing their stories warmed our hearts and brought smiles and laughter to our faces. We look forward to the start of the next school year and a new group of 3rd graders but first rest and recovery to all the teachers and staff, you are awesome!

We had the pleasure of awarding scholarships and investing in the future of 3 outstanding young ladies. Congratulations to:
*Brielle Ward - Weston McEwen HS
*Cambria VanNice - Pendleton HS
*Whitney MacKay - Hermiston HS

Extra special that all 3 were pitching students of Jordan’s when they were first starting to play softball 💗🥎

The sunshine didn’t show up, but that didn’t dampen the spirit of the game and all who attended. The game kicked off with a recording of Jordan herself singing our National Anthem followed by her niece throwing the first pitch with her Dad catching. A special shout out to Good Shepherd Health Care System for their title sponsorship of the game. A big thank you to all who donated auction baskets, volunteers who supported the game and fundraiser, Coach Olson and the Viking softball team, and Tricia Lorence for all the work getting the online auction launched! We are truly grateful for the support in continuing Jordan’s legacy.

Yesterday's skills camp was a resounding success, thanks to the beautiful weather and enthusiastic turnout. Our campers demonstrated a commendable work ethic and eagerness to learn, impressing many with their dedication. We were pleased to provide classic ballpark hot dog meals to our young athletes and their families. We extend our sincere gratitude to Good Shepherd Health Care System for their generous sponsorship, Hil Meats, Umatilla School District and the volunteers who made this event possible. We look forward to announcing future camps in the coming school year. The future of Viking HS softball looks bright.
