It has been busy in southern Madison County as you are all aware. Water rescues began locally yesterday afternoon and a crew was also sent to New Castle to assist with their evacuations. This morning started off early with multiple back to back water rescues as well as many other 911 calls for service. Thanks to members from East Madison Firefighters Local 5402, Hamilton County Fire Fighters Local 4416, Anderson Fire Fighters Local 1262 for the much needed help to get people to safety quickly. Our crews are still out there and taking calls as we prepare for whatever the next couple of days may bring. A very special thanks also goes out to those who have helped with transportation, housing, supplies for the crews, and many other things we are sure we haven't mentioned.
