Operation: Slate Belt Love is a community driven non-profit organization that was created with the passion to unify individuals love. Our mission is to inspire others to come together to help those in need. We began our "Operation" after being inspired and impacted by relief efforts for Texas and Florida after being hit by separate hurricanes in the late summer of 2017. Our collection efforts star
ted out small, but with the generosity, support and love from the Slate Belt and beyond, the donations quickly added up more than anyone anticipated. The donations were delivered personally by our team and with technology, we were able to invite our community with us on our journey by going live on Facebook. The community was able to witness the destruction created by the hurricanes and see firsthand where their generous donations were being used by people directly affected in real time as we were experiencing it. Our mission to Texas and Florida has not only inspired us, but has also ignited a fire in people to come together to help those in need. It may not be as a result of a natural disaster, but helping on daily basis in our own town. "An individual is merely one drop of love, unified they can flood the world!"
