This weekend Scouts participated in the Mayflower Council Aviation Camporee and what an epic experience it was!

Scouts camped out on the airfield, earned their Aviation Merit Badge by participating in simulations and informative sessions led by the Cape Cod Community College Aviation Program and even had the opportunity to take to the sky!

Thank you so much to the many volunteers who made this happen. This was an opportunity they will never forget!

This past weekend Troop 143 Pembroke, MA Scouts headed out into the chilly, wet weather to complete their Horsemanship Merit Badge and we couldn't be more grateful to the women of Rocking Horse Farm for not only working through all the requirements with us, but hosting us as well!

Our Scouts have been busy busy this winter - earning merit badges, working on requirements, sharing in adventures together - but boy are we happy that spring is here!

Tonight one of our scouts talked about Tack (what is it, why is it important) to prepare for our upcoming Horsemanship Campout!

We braved the cold and made it to the Ice Castles!

We had some fun before the wind chills got to be too much and then went back to the lodge for more fun: games, laughs, a wonderful Scout prepared dinner and the older Scouts worked with newer Scouts and our Crossovers with rank advancements.

Dinner: spaghetti and meatballs with broccoli and rolls
Breakfast: breakfast sandwiches on croissants with sausage, bacon, or meat free, and fruit

At least week's meeting, Scouts met with Lauren from Mayflower Council over zoom to ask ALL of the summer camp questions!

The rest of the meeting was spent discussing and assigning new Troop positions.

Unfortunately our trip to New Hampshire was postponed this weekend due to the weather but we didn't let that stop us from getting out.

We opted to burn energy and climb some walls instead. After a few hours of fun, it was time to eat. Each Scout was responsible for ordering their own meal, factoring tax and tip, and paying for their bill. With a little help from older Scouts, even our new Crossovers nailed it.

After two Crossovers this week, we can't help but look back at how far we've come - from just 4 Scouts three years ago, to 17 strong today. These Scouts genuinely enjoy each other’s company, support one another, and step up when someone is struggling. No Scout is ever left behind; when one stumbles, the others flock to lift them up.

It’s an incredible source of pride and joy to be part of something so special.
