Woburn District Court | 30 Pleasant St. Woburn, MA
Join us to to support Nastasia Lawton-Sticklor, Nathan Phillips, Sabine von Mering, and Rev. Fred Small at their pretrial hearings.
Our friends are facing trespassing and disturbing the peace charges for multiple attempts to deliver food to people who were illegally detained in the Burlington, MA ICE Field Office.
We will gather after the hearing at the First Baptist Church at 3 Winn St. Woburn (3 blocks from the courthouse) to debrief and build community.
Contact: Marla Marcum, [email protected]
According to people detained in Burlington and their attorneys, ICE has denied access to showers, clean bathrooms, and food. They have kept people in overcrowded rooms designed for only a few hours of occupancy.
Our human needs -- food, water, healthcare, safety -- are non-negotiable, and if those who should be responsible will not meet them, we have to do it ourselves.
The action doesn’t end until we are all free of the criminal legal system. Showing up to court supports our people, builds community and capacity, and shows the courts that we have each other’s backs.
