Hang out with your friends in order to materially fight climate change!

This Thursday (7/2 from 5pm-8pm) might be “new england’s” highest day of electric use for 2026. This “annual peak” is used by our corporate grid overlords to justify spending more on fossil fuels. The more fossil fuels, the more weeks as hot as this one. Let’s keep that annual peak as low as possible! .

When we spend time together during peaks, we reduce our collective energy use while building community. Community is the foundation of how we fight and keep each other safe - from climate change, from ice, and from whatever comes.

Tuesday, March 24, 8:45am
Woburn District Court | 30 Pleasant St. Woburn, MA

Join us to to support Nastasia Lawton-Sticklor, Nathan Phillips, Sabine von Mering, and Rev. Fred Small at their pretrial hearings.

Our friends are facing trespassing and disturbing the peace charges for multiple attempts to deliver food to people who were illegally detained in the Burlington, MA ICE Field Office.

We will gather after the hearing at the First Baptist Church at 3 Winn St. Woburn (3 blocks from the courthouse) to debrief and build community.

Contact: Marla Marcum, [email protected]

According to people detained in Burlington and their attorneys, ICE has denied access to showers, clean bathrooms, and food. They have kept people in overcrowded rooms designed for only a few hours of occupancy.

Our human needs -- food, water, healthcare, safety -- are non-negotiable, and if those who should be responsible will not meet them, we have to do it ourselves.

The action doesn’t end until we are all free of the criminal legal system. Showing up to court supports our people, builds community and capacity, and shows the courts that we have each other’s backs.

Williston, Vermont is a nerve center for all the things happening with ICE nationally. They’re surveilling us. They’re surveilling our neighbors. They’re using the White Cap Business Park to try to find more people to attack. So, yeah, we’re going to keep persisting until this place no longer exists.

So far:
- In November, activists sounded their car alarms every 90 seconds, mimicking the rate of ICE arrests that happen every minute and a half
- On January 11th, activists dropped a banner across six windows of a building that read “ICE Violates Rights Here”
- On January 22nd, Vermonters staged a first Sit-in at Williston ICE Office
- On February 10th 13 people were arrested during a second sit-in
- and much more

Our friends arrested on February 10th are scheduled to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, March 2nd at the Vermont Superior Court in Burlington. Join us there! Showing up to court builds community, supports each other, and shows the legal system that we have each other’s backs.

No oil for polluting peaker plants and no oil for ICE. Immigration Justice = climate justice.

🔆🔆🔆

Does your home heating oil fuel ICE?

Trucks owned by Roberts Energy carry the fuel that ICE is using to deport people from all over New England.

Tell Roberts Energy, drop ICE or we’ll drop you.

Do you buy home heating oil from Roberts Energy: Abba Fuels, Barrows + Fishers Oil, Cota’s Propane, or Mike’s Fuel? Call and tell them to end their contract with Signature Aviation at Hanscom Field or you’ll switch providers.

Share widely! ICE out of New England

Script:
My name is ________________________. I am a customer of ______________________________ in ____________________ (town/city/state). I am calling to encourage Roberts Energy to stop doing business with Signature Aviation’s Hanscom Field location. At Hanscom, Signature is the primary fuel supplier for the aircraft that ICE uses. Brown Bear Transportation is contracted to transport Signature’s jet fuel from the East Boston Terminal to its storage tanks at Hanscom Field. That means your company’s trucks are carrying the jet fuel ICE uses to deport our friends and neighbors. If this continues, I plan to switch to a different home heating oil/propane provider.

Call the company you buy from:

Roberts Energy: 413-736-9611
Barrows & Fisher: 802-254-4574
Mike’s Fuel: 802-758-3835
Abba Fuels: 802-878-8095
Cota’s Propane: 802-372-8800

Join us on Zoom on Thursday, 1/29 at 7pm to check-in about all of the anti-fascist work happening in the networks of our campaign. We will have time to trouble shoot winter peakbusting and strategize about supporting a local anti-pipeline fight.
