🐾 These faces deserve better.

Right now, many rescued cats and kittens in Coron are living in overcrowded cages or temporary locations because there simply isn’t enough room.

But that’s about to change.

First came a visit and a volunteer workday. Then, thanks to the passion of our Animal Working Group, a generous donor, and a special Global Harmony donation, construction began on a brand-new cat shelter. 🏗️🐈

Our partnership with Coron Animal Savers is creating a lasting impact that will improve the lives of rescued cats for years to come.

This is what Global Harmony is all about—finding local organizations in the ports we visit where we can make a real and lasting difference.

Global Harmony Welcomes Children from the Camillian Social Center

On July 19, Global Harmony’s Kids Group welcomed 16 children from the Camillian Social Center in Rayong, Thailand aboard the Villa Vie Odyssey for a special day of exploration, learning, and friendship.

Global Harmony believes that making a difference is about more than providing financial support. Whenever possible, we strive to build relationships with the communities we visit by creating opportunities for meaningful interaction and shared experiences.

The children enjoyed a tour of the ship, met residents and crew members, and experienced life aboard the Odyssey. We were also pleased to welcome Fr. Giovanni Contarin, who accompanied the group during their visit.

To further support the center’s ongoing work, a Global Harmony volunteer presented the organization with a donation of US$500.

Our goal is simple: to support local communities with respect and partnership. We hope this visit brought smiles, encouragement, and lasting memories to everyone involved.

A special thank you goes to the Villa Vie Odyssey crew, whose warmth, enthusiasm, and generosity helped make the day so memorable. Their willingness to engage with the children and help create a welcoming experience reflects the spirit of our community.

Thank you as well to the Global Harmony volunteers and everyone who helped make this visit possible.

Smiles all around! 😊

On July 18, Global Harmony welcomed 16 children from Bangkok’s Mercy Center aboard the Odyssey for a special day of fun and friendship.

Mercy Center serves some of Bangkok’s most disadvantaged communities, providing preschool education and nutritious meals for children whose parents work long hours to support their families.

The children enjoyed a tour of the ship, followed by pizza and soft drinks, thanks to the wonderful support of the Odyssey staff. A Global Harmony volunteer also presented Mercy Center with a US$500 donation to support its important work.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this memorable day possible.

Together, we’re making a difference, one port—and one smile—at a time. 💙

🌍⚓ A Historic Milestone for Villa Vie Odyssey

We are proud to celebrate the Villa Vie Odyssey’s recognition by the UNESCO Center for Peace as the world’s first Global Flagship for Peace.

This groundbreaking designation recognizes a commitment to fostering peace, cultural understanding, global citizenship, and meaningful connections across nations and communities.

As Odyssey travels the world, residents have the unique opportunity to build bridges between cultures, support local communities, and demonstrate that positive change can happen one interaction, one project, and one port at a time.

Global Harmony is honored to be part of this journey, helping transform good intentions into meaningful action through service projects, cultural exchange, environmental initiatives, and community partnerships around the globe.

Together, we are proving that a ship can be more than a way to see the world—it can be a force for understanding, compassion, and peace.

Cultural exchange in action aboard the Villa Vie Odyssey. 🌏💙

Recently, the Odyssey Wave Dancers joined members of Singapore’s CLDAS community for a meaningful gathering centered around dance, friendship, and cultural connection. What began as a shared love of dance quickly turned into something much deeper — new relationships, meaningful conversations, and the kind of people-to-people connection that Global Harmony believes creates lasting impact.

Our dancers were warmly welcomed by local community leaders, including Michael Pang, whose incredible hospitality helped make the experience so memorable. The group also visited the Eurasian Heritage Museum, where participants gained a deeper understanding of Singapore’s rich multicultural history and heritage.

Moments like these remind us that cultural exchange is more than an event — it is a pathway to understanding, friendship, and global community.

We believe that every port offers an opportunity not only to visit a place, but to truly connect with the people who call it home.

Today was one of those days that reminds you why this journey matters.

We welcomed a group of children from Seeds of Hope here in Bali aboard the Odyssey, and from the moment they arrived, the energy was incredible. Big smiles, lots of questions, and genuine excitement as they explored the ship, met crew members, and got a glimpse into life at sea.

Many of them dream of working in hospitality one day—some even on a cruise ship—so being able to see it firsthand made the experience even more meaningful.

What made the day truly special, though, was how warmly they were received. Residents and crew alike went out of their way to engage, welcome, and connect—and it showed.

It’s hard to say who enjoyed it more… them or us.

This morning in Bali, about 45 residents stepped off the ship and onto a beach that needed a little help—and by the time we left, you could see the difference.

What started as scattered debris along the shoreline—fishing nets, plastic bottles, and even a tire—quickly turned into bags of collected trash as everyone got to work.

There’s something powerful about watching a group come together like that. You don’t have to wonder if it mattered—you can see it right in front of you.

A big thank you to Melody and Markus for pulling this together and making it happen.

And to everyone who showed up ready to roll up their sleeves—this is exactly what Global Harmony is all about.

There’s something special happening at sea—something that goes beyond steps and music. Onboard, a growing group of line dancers is finding joy, connection, and a shared rhythm that reaches across cultures.

What began as a simple activity has become a vibrant community where beginners and experienced dancers come together each week. No matter the level, the atmosphere is the same—supportive, social, and full of energy.

The real highlight is how this group is connecting globally. In Australia, dancers quickly found common ground, while in Indonesia—despite language differences—the welcome has been incredible. When the “Wave Dancers” reached out, dozens of local dancers responded, leading to a memorable meetup onboard in Denpasar—and soon, Semarang—filled with movement and cultural exchange.

These moments are about more than dancing—they’re about building connections. With growing links to places like Singapore, the group is continuing to expand its reach and share the joy of line dancing wherever they go.

Supported by Kathie’s guidance, the dancers’ enthusiasm and openness have turned a hobby into a global experience—showing what harmony looks like, one step at a time.

Big ideas only matter when they turn into real change—and that’s exactly what this week is about. 🌍✨

Today, we celebrate the power of people coming together with purpose, passion, and a shared vision for a better future. Every conversation, every connection, and every small step forward creates momentum that reaches far beyond what we can see.

Let’s keep building, collaborating, and showing what’s possible when communities unite for something bigger than themselves. The impact starts with us—and it keeps growing. Villa Vie Residences
