Huge shout out to Card My Yard Williamston - SC for being the first business to donate to our raffle for West Pelzer Fire Dept. If your business is interested in participating in our raffle, we are looking for gift certificates for dining, shopping, coffee, manis/pedis, hair cuts for men or woman, spa items like soaps, scrubs, lotions, candles, fishing gear, outdoor things for men, etc. Gift cards don’t have to be from your business. All donations are tax deductible.

Hey everyone! I realize I am super behind in getting our thank you cards from the Memorial Day Bash in the mail. We have been working tirelessly at our home to get it completed. That being said, we would like to take another moment to thank everyone who helped with the meal and raffle. We could not do all that we do without you. I promise to get better at the thank you cards moving forward.

🎆 Help Us Fill the Baskets! 🎆

Friends of the Community Upstate is proud to sponsor a raffle benefiting the West Pelzer Fire Dept. during the July 4 Celebration! 🇺🇸🚒

We are currently putting together two exciting raffle baskets—one for men and one for women—and we’re looking for donations of new items and gift certificates to help make them extra special.

Your contribution will not only support our local firefighters but also help create a fun community fundraiser for everyone attending the celebration.

Hello everyone! We have received a grant (in kind donation of books) to provide our families across Anderson County and South Greenville with books. We also have the opportunity to build a little book library so that anyone can exchange books. We do have to cover shipping costs (this is typical for receiving products). **Volunteer Leadership Team Members**

Friends of the Community Upstate is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our Volunteer Leadership Team. We are looking for individuals who want to be involved in decision-making, support our mission, and help guide our programs and outreach efforts.

*One leader to be available during Monday food bank operations.
*One leader to be available during Thursday food bank operations.
*One leader to be available during the monthly event.
*One leader to assist with donations and fundraising.
*One leader to assist with volunteer recruitment and retention.
*One leader to assist with community engagement.

All leaders should:
* Work collaboratively with our current leadership team and volunteers.
* Engage positively with community members, partners, and supporters.
* Follow through on commitments and responsibilities.
* Maintain open, honest, and timely communication.
* Demonstrate a passion for serving others and strengthening our community.

This is a great opportunity for volunteers who want to take a more active role in helping Friends of the Community Upstate grow and serve those in need.
