Reminder - Last chance to order bricks.

We will place one more order for bricks for the Veteran’s Memorial. Final deadline to submit this order will be May 15, 2026.

Pelzer Heritage Commission is currently building a Veterans Memorial in Pelzer, South Carolina. The memorial will be located at Wardlaw Park, between the Pelzer Gym and the former hospital building.
We are supported by Meritus Signature Builders in Anderson, SC, who will construct the memorial at no cost, while PHC will provide the materials. The memorial will also include a Circle of Honor to recognize those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
We are further supported by Upstate Warriors Solution, Vets Helping Vets, the VFW, and the Palmetto High ROTC. This memorial will honor veterans from Pelzer, West Pelzer, Williamston, and Piedmont.
Proceeds from all brick sales will be used for the memorial’s perpetual care.

It’s a lot easier. They take your order and we get the check.Be sure to check the brick you want , one or two then click on “quanity “ and it will take you through process. Just skip a space between names, service or what ever so you can get everything on the lines. This will be at Wardlaw Park in Pelzer at Warlaw Park behind the Pelzer gym. Tonight the final contract agreement on Veterans Memorial Park was signed by the Town of Pelzer, Anderson County and the PHC.. I signed my part. We are ready to start pulling permits and let Meritus Builders start to work. Big accomplishment finished and we are ready to build.

Back in the olden days many folks used newspapers for wallpaper to help plug cracks in the wall to help keep the home a little warmer in them long cold winter months. It made for surprisingly good insulation. These folks might have been poor in money, but they were rich in common sense and ingenuity, and that counts for a whole lot, don’t ya think?
