From David’s sister:

David was working on a bedroom addition to his home that he was unable to complete due to daily life time constraints and then his advancing Alzheimer's condition. This photo shows his talent and sense of whimsy in the stone and tile "bath mat" he created. Perhaps someday, his son will be able to complete this entire project in memory of him. We are now at 2 years and 8 months since David Moffett walked away from home.

Here's my handsome brother ready to celebrate NYE in Dallas way back in 1988-89. Today, we now mark 2 years and 7 months since David Moffett went missing in Michigan, along with a still missing Michigan Silver Alert System Bill. MIchigan Legislature - when will you act on this much needed system?

Here's David and our Dad, Ben, back in 1979 in Michigan. One guy with lots of hair and one without.
Looking back on this photo it is alarming to realize they both ended up suffering from dementia.
Hard to believe it has been 2 years and 6 months since Dave went missing. Come on Michigan, pass the Silver Alert Bill now!!

iWhat is missing in this picture? Obviously, the 29th of February, and the 2 year 5 month mark since David Moffett went missing.
Also missing is Michigan being closer to a much needed Silver Alert system. There are two identical bills, HB4362 and SB456, sitting in each other's legislative chamber with NO movement forward. I am told "it is complicated".
Please contact Rep. Gina Johnsen at 517-373-1976 and Sen. Mallory McMorrow at 517-373-2523 and ask them to work together to promote the passage of one Silver Alert bill to be signed by the Governor.

When Dave stayed with us for several months a few years ago he spent time each morning working on word searches. This kept his brain active. He was quite good at this type of mental stimulation.
Here's a word search created in honor of David. Michigan is still without a Silver Alert System. You can help.
Please contact Senator Stephanie Chang, Chair of the committee that must pass this bill on to the full Senate. Time is of the essence.

Showcasing his sense of humor as we mark 2 years and 3 months since his disappearance , Dave is ready to cross-country ski in Texas, but where is the snow?!

This is a silver ring my brother Dave made. I am wearing it now while my wedding ring is at the jeweler's for repairs. As if I don't already think of him everyday, I now have a constant physical reminder of him on my hand during this beginning of the Holiday Seasons.
Be thankful for your living friends and family. David is now missing 2 years and 2 months.

A young 26 year old David Moffett at Wayne State University way back in May of 1979 perfecting his metalsmithing skills.

This marks 2 years and 1 month since David disappeared.

We need to hammer away at the Senate to bring forward HB4362 for consideration. Please contact Senator Stephanie Chang, chair of the Civil Rights, Judiciary, and Public Safety Committee at [email protected]

Please urge her to place HB 4362 (Silver Alert system) on the agenda.

Wonderful news today - after 737 days the 20 remaining hostages have finally come home to their families!

For 745 days my brother has been missing, when will he come home?

Words from David’s sister, today marks 2 years since he has been missing ❤️

Unbelievable that today marks not just another month, but 2 years since David walked away from home and never returned.
I have shared Dave's carpentry skills, his early childhood drawings, and numerous examples of his fine iron work over these many months.
This time I am highlighting another talent. Whe living in Texas, Dave was asked to write the album liner notes for the DIXIE DEWDROPS, an all-girl bluegrass band that preceded the DIXIE CHICKS.
