My brother Dave found this tiny mitt in the yard of a demolished home when he was visiting us in Texas back in 2022. We laughed that it reminded us of Michigan. The mitt has sat on our kitchen window sill all this time.
After David went missing, it became my plan to post this little mitt when Michigan finally enacted a Silver Alert system.
That time is now here - Gov. Whitmer signed the bill into law last week!

Such wonderful news!! The Michigan Legislature has passed SB 456 SILVER ALERT. It will become law in hopefully the near future after the Governor's signature. Remember those that are still missing including David Moffett. Let us pray that all future vulnerable adults will be located swiftly and safely.

My brother Dave and I went on a day trip around the greater Petoskey area in May of 2023, just a few months before his disappearance.
We stopped in Harbor Springs and walked around town near the waterfront. We ate a huge lunch at Bar Harbor - terrific hamburgers and fries. The we visited Tom's Mom's Cookies, they were absolutely delicious!
We spent the day driving around taking in the sights and topped it all off by dining at Dam Site Inn. We enjoyed everything including the 1960's nostalgic decor.
That was a happy day of memories with my brother. Wish I took more pictures on that day. Here are two photos.

From David’s sister:

David was working on a bedroom addition to his home that he was unable to complete due to daily life time constraints and then his advancing Alzheimer's condition. This photo shows his talent and sense of whimsy in the stone and tile "bath mat" he created. Perhaps someday, his son will be able to complete this entire project in memory of him. We are now at 2 years and 8 months since David Moffett walked away from home.

Here's my handsome brother ready to celebrate NYE in Dallas way back in 1988-89. Today, we now mark 2 years and 7 months since David Moffett went missing in Michigan, along with a still missing Michigan Silver Alert System Bill. MIchigan Legislature - when will you act on this much needed system?
