This page is property of Operation Injured Soldiers. Today, we have more than 2 million disabled veterans who have been severely wounded in the line of duty. This figure does not include the growing number of soldiers who suffer from PTSD. All of these soldiers had dreams about what their future would be like. These dreams were shattered for many in the line of

duty. The volunteers who dedicate their time to Operation Injured Soldiers have a very important goal; and that goal is to connect with individuals and corporations wishing to provide a token of appreciation to the brave men and women who have fought for our nation's freedom. This "thank you" is a small price to pay for all that they have given to us. would not be the great country that it is today. THEY GAVE MUCH MORE THAN THEY RECEIVE FOR OUR FREEDOM

Wounded veterans of the present War on Terrorism and the past wars must struggle every day to overcome life-changing sacrifices such as the loss of a limb, significant burns, and the reality of being in a wheelchair. The mission of Operation Injured Soldiers is to help the people who have given so much on our behalf overcome these obstacles and resume a productive and fulfilling life through programs that help them get back into their personal hobbies. NOW IT'S OUR TIME TO SHOW OUR APPRECIATION

Operation Injured Soldiers partners with corporate sponsors, individual contributors, and volunteers to provide an easy and meaningful way for individuals and corporations to help these veterans and their families carry out meaningful lives. You can help by means of direct tax-deductible donations, participating in programs that raise money, giving your time, as well as corporate sponsorships. One-hundred percent of all money contributed goes directly to service-members and their families. IT TAKES ALL OF US

When we work together, the results of our efforts are clear. The men and women who are heroes from the battlefield return home to be heroes to their families and communities.

🇺🇸 A Weekend We’ll Never Forget 🇺🇸

This weekend at Brave Hearts Estate, we had the privilege of spending time with Bob, a Vietnam veteran whose stories of service, sacrifice, and life left us inspired and humbled.

Bob has lost a leg and is currently on hospice, but his positive attitude, contagious smile, and unwavering spirit remind us what true strength looks like. We were honored to take him on an ATV ride around the property, share some laughs, and simply enjoy the day together.

It’s easy to think we have to do something extraordinary to make a difference, but sometimes the greatest gift we can give is our time, our ears, and our presence. We hope we made Bob’s weekend a little brighter, but the truth is, he made ours.

Thank you, Bob, for your service, your sacrifice, and for reminding us to cherish every moment.

If you know a veteran, take the time to visit them, hear their stories, and let them know they are appreciated. Their memories are a part of our nation’s history, and their sacrifices should never be forgotten.

Vet Bash 2026 is now in the books! We had nearly 300 guests visit the estate yesterday afternoon. We wanted to thank everyone who came out and enjoyed the beautiful day with us! We appreciate all of your support for our organizations.

A huge thank you to our speaker Kegan Gill, Tatem Phelps ,with Olut tech, for all of your technical services and the bands who took time to set up and play all afternoon for us.
Special thanks to our sponsors Triangle Foundation, Jed Avery and Chubbs Marina for sponsoring Kegan speaking and Birdies Tavern for donating their time to smoke all of our meats. It was delicious!

The weather is looking great for this weekend and we cannot wait to see everyone out at Vet Bash 2026 at Brave Hearts Estate!

We’ll be out there from noon to 5 PM with live music, great people, and an awesome afternoon supporting our veterans and community. Admission is completely free for all attendees.

We will also have local food on site with items available for purchase, so please help support them as they are helping support this event and the organizations involved. We appreciate our local businesses stepping up to be part of this special day.

If you’re planning to stay for the music, make sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating around the outdoor stage area.

For anyone who would like to support the mission even further, donation QR codes will be available on our website where you can donate directly to Brave Hearts Estate, Buddy Check Ranch, and Mission Six Service Dogs.

We truly appreciate all the support and are excited to spend the day with all of you this weekend. See you Saturday at Brave Hearts Estate in Pellston!

We visited Charlevoix Elementary school on Friday for a special award. The 5th graders had an essay contest for the kids to write about their favorite charity organization. Everett Zerby submitted his essay on what Brave Hearts Estate does for our veterans and win this award for our veterans. It was so rewarding to see the passion that these kids have for those who have protected our freedom! It was an honor and a pleasure to have attended this great event put on by the Charlevoix Kiwanis. Receiving the award for BHE was one of our Korean War veteran members of OIS.

We’re really looking forward to Vet Bash 2026 on May 30th. We wanted to remind everyone to save the date. This event is about bringing veterans, families, supporters, and the community together for a great day at Brave Hearts Estate.

More details will be coming soon, but for now, mark your calendars and help us spread the word. You can meet our friends at Mission Six Service Dogs, Buddy Check Ranch, and plenty of opportunities to spend time with good people supporting a great cause.
