This past week, our lesson in James focused on faith and growth. A key theme echoed in our memory verse was that wisdom from God is given to the faithful so that we may follow His word in trials and temptations.

Thank you, everyone, for a wonderful first day of CBS yesterday!
We had an overview of what our class will look like for the upcoming lessons, met the new women in our core groups, and got an overview of our first study for the year, the book of James, and how we will put our faith in action.

Faithfulness was a key part of our lesson this week. The greatest form of faithfulness the world has ever seen was Christ's sacrifice for all people. As humans we cannot earn our way to God due to our perpetual sin, but Christ's free gift of sacrifice and faithfulness is enough for all who accept. David shows through the Psalms how we as humans can be faithful in return.
