The mission of Rotary is to provide service to others, promote integrity and goodwill through its fellowship of community leaders. Service above Self !

The Rotary Club of Pella was chartered in 1938 and our members joined to serve. The Rotary Club of Pella is part of Rotary International, District 6000 which is made up of 66 Rotary Clubs across central/southern Iowa. We meet at the Pella Country Club Tuesdays at noon. Our Pella Rotary Service Foundation has a 501.c.3 designation.

We had a great program from Haleigh. Our outbound student to Italy. She shared about her training to be a Rotary Youth Exchange student, especially her experience at RYLA, and where she will be in Italy for her year.

Service Above Self

Today our club committees met and lived out our Service Above Self motto as we further our work at Rotary Park, with Youth Leadership & International Exchange, local service projects and more.

Have you seen some of the improvements underway at Rotary Park in town? 💙💛💙

Our club was excited to receive a grant from Rotary District 6000 Iowa and club members have partnered with Pella Community Services to remove the trip hazards in the shelter and we’ve been hard at work to repaint.

A huge shout out to Trinity Church Youth Group for spending a Saturday helping with our efforts.

Stay tuned! We’ve got more plans in the works.

We loved hosting our 2026 Pella Tulip Time Royal Court and the Pella Rotary Club today at the Pella Opera House! Remember, Tulip Time is May 7, 8 & 9!

Long-time Rotarian Marlyn “retired” this week from our club-moving to Emeritus status. She shared treasured memories of her time including joining as Pella’s very first female member (Rotary started as a men’s service club).

Over her years, she has served on countless groups and committees, and her commitment to rotary is unwavering, — she completed a 15 year stint of perfect attendance that included club meetings in Turkey and the English countryside.

She was instrumental in our club’s youth programming, youth exchange, RYLA and so much more.

Thank you Marlyn for everything!
