🌎 Calling all Passport Tasting Adventurers!Haitian peanut butter, known as mamba, is a savory, nutty spread made primarily from freshly roasted peanuts. Unlike sweet commercial American peanut butters, mamba is traditionally characterized by its rich texture and distinct spicy kick.

Mamba is not typically used for simple jelly sandwiches. In Haiti, it is commonly enjoyed on freshly baked bread, smeared on crispy cassava crackers, or even stirred into hot cereal like oatmeal.

We've shown the process behind the beloved metal nativities and art on our walls, but do you know how that group of Haitian artisans began?

πŸ¦‹ A young mother of two wanted to add to her family through adoption. After spending a week at an orphanage in Haiti, she was surprised to find out that these children had mothers who were alive, but just too poor to care for their children. She set her heart on providing jobs for at risk mothers, so that they would be able to keep their kids. Shelley Jean started Papillon because no child should ever be abandoned because of poverty.

Because of your purchases, families are able to stay together. In spite of turbulence all around in Haiti, smiles stretch across families' faces because there is hope. You help make a difference.
