We had an incredible time at our 2nd Women in Agriculture Workshop this weekendโan inspiring two days dedicated to learning, connecting, and growing together! ๐ฑ
Empowering women with hands-on farm and livestock skills is so important! Whether itโs caring for animals, managing land, or handling day-to-day operations, these skills build confidence, independence, and resilience. Women play a vital role in agriculture, and opportunities like this help ensure they have the knowledge and support to thrive in every aspect of the field.
We were also honored to hear from knowledgeable speakers representing a variety of resource agencies. Their insights, expertise, and willingness to share valuable tools and programs made a lasting impact on everyone in attendance Friday night. We especially enjoyed locally sourced beef for our dinner thanks to Dye Branch Farms and expertly cooked by our St. Clair County Cattlemen.
On Saturday, ladies grouped together and rotated thru stations to enhance their skills and later put to the test with a fun relay game! ๐ฉโ๐พ
A heartfelt THANK YOU to our generous sponsors and donors who made this workshop possible: Dixie Sod Farm, Dye Branch Farms, St. Clair Co-op, Coosa Valley RC&D, Tractor Supply Company, The Home Depot, The Golden Family, and the St. Clair Extension Service. Your support helps us continue creating meaningful opportunities for our agricultural community.
Hereโs to strong women, strong farms, and a strong future in agriculture! ๐
