Office of the Sheriff - St. Clair County Alabama has a new electronic scent detection K9! His name is Gus and he is the best boy. He came by to see us at the children’s place and showed us all of his skills and hard work! Gus will be such a helpful tool in several of our cases and maybe he can come see us for some forensic interviews!!! 🐕‍🦺🐕‍🦺

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

Take care of yourself the same way you take care of everyone else. Rest when you need it, step outside for fresh air, talk to someone you trust, and give yourself grace on the hard days.

Your mental health matters. Always.

Child abuse prevention shouldn’t be something we only think about for one month it’s a responsibility we carry every day. Every child deserves to feel safe, loved, and protected, and it takes all of us families, neighbors, teachers, and communities to make that happen. By staying aware, speaking up, and showing care in small ways, we can help create a world where children are supported and valued year-round, not just in April.
