As school starts back for most everyone this past week, we too hosted a group of Cattlemen and landowners who went back to school for the night! 🎒 ✏️
Hosted in partnership with Alabama Extension Agents Josh Elmore & Dr. Chip East, they all earned their private applicator license. 💦 🌱
After a great joint lecture, participants took a test and earned their certificates in just a few hours. Additional thanks to St. Clair County-Alabama Extension for providing some extra nutrition to keep their minds focused!

Proving that you're never too old to learn something new! 🤓 Congrats to all! 👏👏

250 Years of Freedom. 250 Years of Agriculture. 🌾🐮

As America celebrates its 250th birthday, we choose to honor traditions. We praise those who work in acres and not hours, and we also celebrate the farmers, ranchers, and agricultural families who have been the backbone of this nation since its founding. For generations, they have worked from sunrise to sunset, providing food, fiber, and fuel while caring for the land that sustains us all.

This Independence Day, we honor the hard work, resilience, and dedication that continue to keep America growing and our land prosperous. A strong nation begins with strong communities—and strong communities begin with agriculture.

Happy 4th of July and Happy 250th Birthday, America! ❤️🤍💙

Eat beef! 🥩

Since 1955, the Alabama CattleWomen's Association (ACWA), founded as the Alabama CowBelles Association, has promoted “Beef for Father’s Day,” encouraging Alabama families to celebrate Father’s Day with beef on the menu.

Continuing a tradition that spans more than 70 years, leaders of the Alabama CattleWomen’s Association recently presented Governor Kay Ivey with a platter of steaks as she officially proclaimed “Beef for Father’s Day” in Alabama for 2026!

This Father’s Day weekend, join the Alabama CattleWomen’s Association, Governor Kay Ivey, and Alabama's cattle producers in celebrating the fathers in your life with a delicious beef meal! 🥩

With New World Screwworm making headlines, flies are top of mind for many cattle producers. While staying informed on emerging threats is important, we can't forget about the flies that impact cattle performance every summer right here at home.

Horn flies and other external parasites can reduce weight gain, increase stress, and ultimately cost producers money. Now is a great time to evaluate your fly control program and make adjustments if needed.
