Pelican Volunteer Fire & EMS Welcome to Pelican Volunteer Fire & EMS departments page. We are located in the small remote community of Pelican, Alaska. We are a small volunteer department.

Pelican Volunteer Fire & EMS provides emergency fire and medical services to the residents of Pelican, Sunnyside and Phonograph, Alaska. Our department consists of 6 full time volunteers. PVFD has an interesting dynamic, being so rural and small, we do not have regular dispatch. Our department has a landline, with a long range, that is carried 24/7 by our volunteers so that we are able to assist community members whenever needed. Pelican Volunteer Fire & EMS works closely in collaboration with the SEARHC clinic here in our community to be able to provide the best services for those in an emergency.
