Pelican area Girl Scouts spent their troop meeting inside the Pelican Rapids Food Shelf, learning how the shelves get stocked and helping prepare food for families who need it.

They also connected to a larger effort with area Lions Clubs, where volunteers packed more than 15,800 meals for distribution to local food shelves.
