Post 555 is dedicated to 2Lt. Matthew Blount, deceased son of Barry and Terrie Blount as the Post’s namesake. The official designation is the American Legion Matthew Blount Post 555. The official meeting facility is the Pelham Senior Center, 50 Racquet Club Parkway, Pelham, Alabama 35124. Meeting first Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. The primary mission of Matthew Blount Post 555 is service to

Veterans, the Community and the Youth. Matthew Blount Post 555 is a total Legion family that includes the Sons of American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary and the Legion Riders.
