We are a coalition of Northern Westchester groups and activists working for a better tomorrow. We work for coordination and resource sharing and arrange for discounted or subsidized support services, like legal services, advertising, bookkeeping, physical plant, etc. We promote joint projects and cooperative endeavors among our member groups. We provide a consolidated portal for local people to le
arn about groups working in different ways on different issues. We are developing a common calendar of events and a web-based platform that lets visitors create profiles of issues and advocacy styles they’re interested in. We’re also developing a targeted donation system seeking small contributors and providing fine control for how contributions are distributed. We are also developing a system to deliver targeted contents streams of articles, news and announcements. We also work to promote community among progressive minded individuals in Northern Westchester, facilitating groups and developing a platform for local interaction. All our work is being done with an eye to creating a portable model, so similar endeavors can be established in as many other communities as possible.
