The talent just keeps rolling in! We are proud to introduce the talented

✨Jessica Gonzalez✨

Jessica Gonzales is a Tucson-based artist and muralist whose vibrant work combines expressive portraiture, bold color, graphic pattern, and abstraction. A professional muralist since 2016, she has created more than 200 murals throughout Arizona and beyond, working across public, commercial, and community spaces. Her work is reflective of her multicultural experience and an ongoing interest in identity, human connection, and what it means to belong between worlds.

Alongside her large-scale public work, Gonzales maintains a personal studio practice exploring what defines culture through lived experience, self-expression, and experimentation. Her mural and studio practices continually influence one another, with the intimacy and freedom of her personal work informing her public art, and the scale, storytelling, and connection to place of mural-making finding their way back into the studio.

Can you believe we get to have a piece of her art in Pecos?!

Stay tuned for more, we’re not even half way done!

Another local artist sharing her gift with the world ✨🌵

Meet ✨Andrea ✨

— a Pecos, Texas native and contemporary artist now based in Tucson, Arizona.

Inspired by the desert plants and wildlife that surround her, Andrea’s work is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with nature, and return to our roots. Through vibrant color, movement, symbolism, and texture, she captures the beauty and meaning found in the natural world.

Her work has been featured at the Desert Garden Gallery in Tucson and exhibited at the Sedona Arts Center, where she has showcased her 3D mixed-media impressionism and symbolic oil paintings.

Through her art, Andrea hopes to inspire a deeper relationship with nature, uncover the connections it can reveal, and honor those who continue to live within us.

We’re proud to bring another West Texas artist home and showcase the incredible talent that comes from this place. 🤎🌵

Welcome to Tumble West, Andrea! ✨

It’s time to recognize another Pecos artist showing our town what’s possible.

📸 Meet Hope Mora 📸

Hope Mora is a photographer who divides her time between Houston and West Texas. For more than a decade, she has turned her lens toward her hometown of Pecos, Texas, capturing the culture, people, landscape, and everyday moments that tell the story of this community.

Her work has taken her far beyond West Texas. Hope has been commissioned by The New York Times, The New Yorker, Vogue, NBC, Houston Landing, and The Texas Tribune, covering everything from cultural celebrations and climate change to stories shaping Texas today.

Her photography has also been exhibited in galleries and public spaces across the country, including the Houston Center for Photography, NXTHVN, the Center for the Study of the Southwest, Mexic-Arte Museum, and Squeaky Wheel Film & Media Art Center.

Hope holds an MFA from the University at Buffalo in New York and a BFA from Texas State University in San Marcos.

Talent doesn’t just come to Pecos — it comes FROM Pecos.

We’re proud to recognize Hope Mora and the incredible work she has created while continuing to tell the story of the place that helped shape her. ❤️

It’s time to meet another one of our talented muralists!

Meet ✨Efren Rebugio✨

Efren Rebugio Jr. is a public artist whose practice centers on creating site-responsive artwork that emerges from the unique identity of a place. Working across mural, installation, and integrated public art, he combines abstraction and realism to explore relationships between people, culture, ecology, and the built environment.

Grounded in research, community engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration, his process begins long before the first sketch. Through interviews, historical research, and conversations with community members, Efren develops concepts that reflect the stories, values, and lived experiences of the places they represent. His work considers not only visual impact, but also stewardship, longevity, accessibility, and thoughtful integration within the public realm. He believes meaningful public art is created through listening, shared responsibility, and lasting relationships with the communities it serves.

Follow along for more updates and help us welcome Efren to our community 🤝

🎨 CALLING ALL LOCAL ARTISTS & CREATIVES! 🎨

This is your chance to show Pecos what you create!

Whether you’ve made a career out of art, create just for fun, or have never had the opportunity to showcase your work before — we want you.

Do you paint? Draw? Sculpt? Photograph? Create mixed media, pottery, fiber art, jewelry, digital art, or something completely your own?

Or maybe you know someone incredibly talented who has never thought of themselves as an “artist” or never had a place to share their work. Send this to them.

✨ Tumble West Art Fest is calling on our local creatives to be part of the Local Art Gallery hosted at our very own La Tejana Coffee Bar - a space dedicated to celebrating the artistic talent that comes from right here in our community.

Come showcase your work alongside talented artists who have turned their creativity into careers and help us shine a light on the creativity that was born here, grew here, and is still here.

Everyone is welcome. Every level of experience is welcome. Every kind of art is welcome.

This is your invitation. ❤️

All artwork is due at La Tejana on Sunday September 27th from 10am - 12pm or Monday September 28th from 10am-12pm and needs to be picked up by 10am on October 4th.
