Tonight was my last official PTA meeting as your President, and what a ride it has been. Over the last 10 years in the PTA including the past 3 years serving as President this organization has brought me so many meaningful friendships, unforgettable memories, and strong connections within our community. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to lead such an incredible group, and while it’s bittersweet to step away from this role, I know I’m leaving the PTA in very good hands.

To my board, thank you for always supporting me, listening to me, and being the heart of our school’s PTA. Your dedication and teamwork have meant more to me than words can express.

As relieving as this transition may be at times, it is also incredibly emotional. Thank you all for trusting me and allowing me the honor of serving in this position. While this may be the end of my term as President, I’ll still be around behind the scenes for one more full year.

A heartfelt thank you as well to our administration and staff for your continued support, partnership, and everything you do for our students and families each and every day. ❤️

Our fourth graders may have braved the freezing temperatures at Lakeland Orchard this past Friday, but that didn’t stop them from having an amazing time! 🍎❄️ Between the laughs, memories made with friends, and all the fun activities, it was still such a special day for everyone involved.

What an amazing day our third graders had today at Lakeland Orchard! 🍎💐From nonstop laughter to making memories with friends, it was such a fun and special experience for everyone involved.

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible teachers, support staff, volunteers, nurses, bus drivers, and school administration for all the time, planning, patience, and care that goes into making field trips like this possible. These moments mean so much to our kids, and we are so grateful for the people who work hard behind the scenes to create them. ❤️

Days like today remind us how lucky we are to have such a supportive school community!

As field trips are happening, I want to send out an important reminder to all parents and chaperones. If you are chosen to attend a field trip with a specific class, you are expected to remain with that class for the duration of the trip. These trips are a privilege, and we need everyone to follow the expectations that are put in place for the safety and organization of our students.

Please also remember that when we visit these locations, we are guests. We should always be on our best behavior, represent our school positively, and treat all staff and workers with kindness and respect. There is never a reason to be rude or disrespectful to employees at any venue. Behavior like that reflects poorly on our school and gives us a bad reputation.

Going forward, if these expectations cannot be followed and I continue having to address these issues, those individuals will no longer be welcomed to attend future field trips.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping make these trips enjoyable and successful for everyone.
