π A Safer Elk Township Starts With All of Us π
Every time the pager goes off, your Elk Township firefighters answer the callβwhether itβs a house fire, vehicle accident, medical emergency, or a call for help from a neighbor in need.
On August 4, 2026, residents will have the opportunity to vote on a 2.5 mill Fire Protection Millage for a period of 6 years. This investment will help ensure the Elk Township Fire Department has the resources necessary to continue protecting our community today and into the future.
The proposed millage will help:
π₯ Replace and upgrade aging fire apparatus and equipment
π₯ Improve emergency response capabilities
π₯ Enhance firefighter safety and effectiveness
π₯ Maintain reliable fire and rescue services for Elk Township residents
Our firefighters are committed to serving this community. The equipment they use is critical to their ability to respond quickly, safely, and effectively when seconds matter most.
For a home with a taxable value of $100,000, the estimated cost is approximately $250 per yearβabout $20.83 per monthβan investment in the safety of your family, your property, and your community.
When emergencies happen, we all expect help to arrive. This proposal helps ensure that help is ready when you need it most.
