As a fellow Veteran, I have chosen to make it my responsibility to address, provide aid/shelter, coordinate and educate our homeless Veterans while on a work-trade or foster care program in conjunction with overcrowded non-profit animal shelters throughout the area. We will address the Veteran homeless population by bringing awareness to local municipalities that have a high rate of homeless Veter
ans needing assistance. This will be done by sending out ambassadors, utilizing social media channels and updating the corporation’s website to provide facts, statistics, and other related data to our mission. We will work to reduce Veteran homelessness by providing a sheltered communal environment with utilities, food and the opportunity to learn provided for by volunteers. The structure will consist of two (2) separate areas to house both Veterans and fostered animals. For Our Veterans;
- a separate or partitioned living area to include twin bed, dresser, accessories and area for animal depending on progress and/or level, community bathroom and individual shower area, kitchen with a community dining area, a computer room, therapy room, exercise (boxing) area and a non-denominational place to worship if wanted. For Our Animals;
- a separate housing area, caged or open depending on assessed level, training area for classes held by certified instructor and practiced with Veterans, private room for possible permanent adoption, private area for well-being veterinary check-ups and indoor open playroom and outdoor caged play area and run. We will work to help homeless Veterans gain back their integrity and regain various skills which will allow them to transition back and become an integral part of any community...as they should be and with the respect they've earned and deserve!
