NASPR (North American Shar-Pei Rescue) is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit rescue dedicated to those "last chance" purebred Shar-Pei in need.This group focuses mainly in Harris County and surrounding areas. Our members are all volunteers that work diligently to rehabilitate and care for each rescue with love and commitment. Our Shar-Pei are respected as the individual personalities that they are and we invest

the time to work with our adoptive families to introduce them to the Shar-Pei that will be the best addition to their family. NASPR cannot save all those in need, but for those that we can, we make a lifetime commitment to not only the dog but the adoptive families so that our Shar Pei will never find themselves alone, scared and uncared for again.

Sugar is still searching for her forever home. 💕

She’s around 6 months old and as sweet as can be. Here she is with her friend Cooper. Sugar is well behaved, dog friendly, and would make an amazing family dog — especially with children.

She’s healthy, spayed, and up to date on all vaccinations. All she’s missing is a family to love her forever.

This sweet 2–3 year old boy was found tied up outside a business in Houston, Texas, and he’s still in need of a foster or forever home. The kind Good Samaritan who found him says he is a total love bug, well behaved, and dog friendly. He deserves so much more than being left behind.

This handsome boy was found tied up outside a business in Houston, Texas. He has no microchip, and the vet estimates he’s around 2–3 years old. He appears to have been well cared for and is friendly, well-behaved, and calm on leash, showing little interest in other dogs while walking.

He urgently needs a foster or forever home where he can feel safe and loved.

We have the best kind of update to share… Jett has officially been adopted by his foster family! 🖤

What started as a foster turned into forever, and we couldn’t be happier for this sweet, goofy boy. His family says he loves his naps, enjoys going on walks, and is always ready to play—especially with his favorite donut toy (as you can see 😂).

Jett is one smart pup too—he’s already mastered sit, down, and kennel! Even better, he and Koda are getting along so well and have become great companions.

Thank you to everyone who shared, supported, and helped Jett on his journey. These are the moments that make it all worth it. 🐾

Butch update (and a little Sundance news too!) 🐾❤️

Look at this incredible transformation.
Butch came to us nearly hairless, severely underweight, and struggling with all the challenges of surviving on the streets of South Texas. Today, he looks like a completely different dog — healthy, handsome, and still carrying that same sweet, gentle spirit.

Butch loves running around the yard, soaking up attention from his people, and just being part of a calm, loving environment. He’s an older guy who isn’t asking for much… just a safe place to call home and someone to love him for the rest of his days.

Whoever gets to give Butch his forever home is truly getting a special dog. 🐶
